It's another slow week on the federal grant front. We found around 30 newly opened grants. But there are a slew of department of education grants available for special education technical training and model demonstration projects.

Details:
The program funds entrepreneurship training to veteran small business owners and entrepreneurs, with a special emphasis on entrepreneurship instruction to service-disabled veteran small business owners and entrepreneurs. Outcomes should result in new business starts, job creation/retention, and income generation for existing small, veteran-owned firms.

National Institute for Food and Agriculture
Grant Title: Capacity Building Program for Non-Land Grant Colleges of Agriculture

Applications may only be submitted by Non-Land Grant Colleges of Agriculture, and program funds may be used for a variety of purposes, including research, outreach, equipment purposes, graduate assistantships and faculty professional growth.

Department of Housing and Urban Development
Grant Title: Specialized Housing and Services for Victims of Human Trafficking

his program is intended to enhance the quality and quantity of safe housing and specialized services available to assist victims of human trafficking. The funding opportunity includes up to $1 million for a technical assistance provider that has experience in assisting HUD-funded and DOJ-funded organizations in the areas of housing and services specifically for victims of human trafficking.
